Arkansas public records access is governed by the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, A.C.A. section 25-19-101 et seq., with access rules centered on section 25-19-105. The Attorney General describes public records as writings, sounds, films, tapes, electronic data, and data compilations that reflect official functions. The law is Arkansas-citizen focused. If a record is in active use or storage and cannot be produced at once, the custodian must certify that fact and set a date and hour within three working days when it will be available.

The Recorder's Office is at 215 East Central, Room 202, Bentonville, AR 72712. The research file captured assessor data updated July 10, 2026, with 175,867 parcels. The result fields were not fully inspectable because of session behavior, so use the research-supported descriptions carefully: sales history, building descriptions, legal descriptions, parcel details, parcel history, valuations, and mailing-label or address reports may be available.

Bentonville Restricted Records

Vital records are state-issued through Arkansas Department of Health Vital Records. A.C.A. section 20-18-305 and ADH rules control certified copies and data. Birth records generally enter the public domain after 100 years. Death, marriage, and divorce records generally open after 50 years. Recent certified copies require eligibility, proof, and identification.

ADH fees in the research file are specific: birth certificates are $12 for the first copy and $10 for each added copy in the same order. Death certificates are $10 for the first copy and $8 for added copies. Marriage and divorce certificates are $10 per copy. Online orders add a $5 standard processing fee and a $1.85 identity-verification fee. If no record is found or no copy is made, ADH keeps the base search fee.

Bentonville City Records Requests

City-level Bentonville public records that are not in a posted index route through the Bentonville JustFOIA portal. The city says Arkansas law gives Arkansas citizens access to public records, and the portal lets requesters submit new requests, track status, receive records electronically when available, and communicate with city staff.

The eTRAKiT portal is separate from JustFOIA. Bentonville eTRAKiT includes permits, projects, properties, inspections, business registry, violations, and CRM issues. Anonymous access is partial, and registered-user accounts may be required for many permit actions. Bentonville Public Records Fees

The June 2026 Circuit Clerk fee schedule is the current fee source in the research. Recorder filing fees for standard recordable instruments are $15 for the first page plus $5 for each page after the first under Ark. Code Ann. section 21-6-306. Plain copies are $0.25 per page. A certified recorded-document copy is $5 for the first page plus $0.25 per page after that. Court document copies are $0.25 per page, with certification and authentication at $5 each.

That fee context helps identify high-priced deed-copy solicitations. Official copies from the recorder are low-cost compared with private mail offers that charge much more for the same kind of recorded document. For federal court, PACER is different: current official pricing is $0.10 per page with a $3 maximum per document and no charge if quarterly usage is $30 or less. PACER has announced a fee increase to $0.12 per page and a $40 quarterly exemption on January 1, 2027.

Bentonville Public Registry Searches
